mortgage companies obligated modified loans
Recently I copied part of a report from kiplingers magazine about modified loans ,I now have more information on modified loans ,one part is that MORTGAGE companies are contractually obligated to the terms of OBAMA's program which REQUIRES the Mortgage company to OFFER Modifications to qualified borrowers. Under the Obama administrations foreclosure program a servicer{mortgage company or lender} that modifies a Loan for a homeowner will collect a $1,000 from the government followed by $1,000 a YEAR for each of the next three years. This was in the oregonian ///according to senior Treasury adviser Seth Wheeler these incentives are meaningful to servicers to help overcome the challenges and competeing demands they face in considering and completeing Loan modifications. In my previous log it gave information that a loan modification can cut your payments in half, There are certain specific circumstances homeowneers must live in their home ,the homeowner can be behind in Mortgage payments or prove they are at the threshold of default,What information I did not have was how much of an incentive the mortgage companies and lenders got ,again remember home modification gives 5 years with an interest rate of 2%,after the five years are up the interest will increase one percentage point a year until it reaches the prevailing rate ..Obama administration summoned mortgage company execs to washington to demnad they move faster to lower payments for homeowners sliding to foreclosure ...website Freebetterloansnow.com
